Common Problems

Ok, have browser, but you are encountering problems when signing in. Here are some quick tests for you and what to expect. As problems are encountered, this section will be expanded. If you have any problems you can not solve use the Contact Us tab to email your problem to us and we'll help you out.

• are popups allowed from this site?
  When you click on the Sign-In tab a small window should appear prompting you to supply PIN & email address. If this does not happen, your browser is blocking popups. You do not have to globally allow popups, just add hksoccer.org to the list of sites allowed popups.
  
  
• is javascript enabled?
  Type something in the email addrress field of the Sign-In window in uppercase, then tab to the next field (or use the mouse to click in the PIN field). If the uppercase text you typed did not lowercase itself automatically, you need to enable javascript.
  
  
• does your browser allow cookies?
  lots of irrelevant information about cookies on the internet and their usage. Cookies are simple data structures stored on the client side which are only returned to the server site setting them. If after you sign in, the word "Guest" does not change to your first name, your browser is blocking cookies. Enable cookies. hksoccer.org cookies set will automatically expire in eight hours (after which you will have to sign in again).
  
  
• Sequential sign-in as two different users does not work.
  When you "Sign-Out", cookies are expired. Certain browsers treat this differently. When you try to "Sign-In" again, your username & PIN are accepted but the cookies are not set, meaning you still see "Welcome, Guest". A work around for this problem is to either use another browser for the second signin, or completely quit your browser and relaunch it. (Trying to find a fix for this problem).
